My Birdhouse ("we", "us", "our") is a BC Sole Proprietorship based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, providing smart home integration and consulting services. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mybirdhouse.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you use our contact or quote request form, we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number (if you choose to provide it)
- Any details you include in your message
We do not require an account to browse this site, and we do not collect payment information here — pricing and payment are handled directly with you once a project is confirmed.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide a quote
- To schedule and coordinate an installation, if you become a client
- To send you information you've directly asked for
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we never share what you write in the quote form with advertisers.
Third-party services we use
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, which delivers your message to our inbox. Our site is hosted and secured throughCloudflare, which may set minimal technical cookies to protect the site from abuse — see our Cookie Policyfor details. Neither service is used by us for advertising or tracking.
We advertise on Facebook and use the Meta Pixel to measure those ads. It tells Meta (Facebook) which pages you visit here and whether you sent a quote request — never what you wrote in it. Meta handles this under its ownPrivacy Policy; see our Cookie Policy for how to opt out.
Data retention
We keep messages and contact details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your inquiry or service your project, and for basic bookkeeping and legal record-keeping afterward. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC's Personal Information Protection Act), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request that it be deleted. To do so, email info@mybirdhouse.ca — we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
